  • West African Monsoon Modeling and Evaluation (WAMME) website. The WAMME project uses GCMs and regional climate models (RCMs) to address issues regarding the role of land-ocean-atmosphere interaction, land-use and water-use change, vegetation dynamics and aerosol (particularly dust) in West African monsoon development. 
  • The African Centre of Meteorological Applications for Development (ACMAD) calls for contributions to the African THORPEX Science Plan (word)
  • The African Network of Scientific and Technological Institutions (ANSTI), is an organ of cooperation that embraces African institutions engaged in University level training and research in the fields of science and technology. In November 2005, ANSTI convened the First African Conference of Vice-Chancellors, Provosts and Deans of Science, Engineering and Technology (COVIDSET 2005) in Accra, Ghana. Participants produced the Action Plan:
